Profile

Born and grew up in Malvern, Worcestershire - where most of my family still live. My mother always loved baking and during my teenage years my Auntie Jackie did cake decorating as a hobby. I decorated my first cake when I was 14, it was a silhoette of Howard Jones (my favourite pop star from that era), made from chocolate sponge and cut into the shape of Howard's head and shoulders. I covered it with chocolate butter cream and piped a black edge around it. Not very professional but I was very proud of it at the time.

I didn't do another cake until I was 17, when I made a car for a boyfriend of mine. I started making cakes more often when my daughter was 3, I made her a cake shaped like her favourite rabbit Rachel. I then subscribed to a cake decorating magazine series and from then on there has been no stopping me. My daughter, Rhiannon, went to art college and is very artistic and talented - she is now following in my footsteps. It was she who designed the logo for this website.

Job wise I was in catering for years mostly in sandwich factories. I also worked as a Finishing Supervisor for Dunkin Donuts where I made sure the dounuts were decorated neatly as specified to the order. It's amazing how many different fillings and toppings you can get for a simple donut!

I now work as a bookkeeper, which is a complete change from my previous jobs, and all my spare time is taken up with making and decorating cakes. I now have 15 years experience in cake decorating and I hope you like what you see here and if you do please contact me so that I can create something special for you too.

I look forward to hearing from you.
